WHAT WE COLLECT

Ube does not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information to use the core features of the app.

If you choose to set a payment handle (e.g. a GCash or PayMaya link), that information is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers.

RECEIPT SCANNING

Receipt images captured within Ube are used solely to extract item, tax, and fee information for your current session. On supported devices, this processing happens entirely on-device. For other devices, only the processed OCR text is sent to our secure cloud server for analysis; we do not send, store, or log the original receipt images, nor do we store the input text or results on our servers. Additionally, Ube displays a disclosure dialog before using cloud-based processing, giving you the option to continue or cancel usage.

SESSION DATA

Active bill-splitting sessions and order drafts are saved locally on your device using on-device storage. This data is not backed up to our servers and is removed when you delete the app.

ANALYTICS

We may collect anonymized, aggregate usage analytics (such as feature usage frequency and crash reports) to help us improve the app. This data cannot be used to identify you and is never sold to third parties.

PAYMENTS

Ube does not process payments and never handles money. Payment cards generated by the app contain a link to your own payment handle. Any payment transaction happens entirely between you and your payment provider — Ube is not involved.

THIRD PARTIES

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

YOUR RIGHTS

Because Ube stores data locally on your device, you are always in control. You can clear your session data at any time from within the app settings. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.
